Description

Through this window in 1969 Andrew Wyeth painted End of Olsons.  Mr. Wyeth had a fascination with the Olson house and its occupants. I can understand why—some mystical force draws me there every time I visit Maine.

I have studied the work of American Artist Andrew Wyeth for many years. He has influenced the way I visualize rustic subject matter. Wyeth made the Olson House famous through his paintings, most notably, Christina’s World.  I especially admire his early watercolors and his fluid/splashy studies.
